The Kintsugi Protocol: Collective Care & Restorative Community Safety
Currently in Development
We're developing a revolutionary framework that transforms safety from coercive policing to collective care, replacing punishment with restoration, force with healing, and isolation with community connection. Like the Japanese art of kintsugi that makes broken pottery beautiful with golden repairs, this framework makes communities stronger through restorative justice and mutual care.
This framework will include:
- ðïļ Community Safety Weavers as unarmed first responders trained in de-escalation, trauma-informed care, and neurodiversity inclusion
- ðĄïļ Disarmament Clause prohibiting firearms for Severe Harm Response Units with trauma-informed tools and annual de-escalation recertification
- ð Restorative Justice Circles as primary community-led processes for harm resolution and repair
- ðĨ Crisis Sanctuaries providing non-carceral, sensory-friendly spaces for mental health and acute distress support
- ðïļ Community Safety Council with sortition selection, youth representation, and veto power over external interference
- ðŠķ Indigenous sovereignty primacy with Red Lines Clause allowing modification or rejection of harmful components
- âŋ Nothing About Us Without Us disability justice with Global Disability Alliance co-design and veto power
- ðą Community Safety Platform as multilingual, community-owned data cooperative with anti-surveillance protections
- ð° Root Cause Intervention Fund addressing poverty, trauma, and systemic exclusion through community-led projects
- âïļ Reparative Justice Fund with automatic 10% GCF allocation for material reparations and Corporate Harm Tax integration
